Mr. William J. Massaker, 84 of Overton Ave, passed away, Thursday February 15, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital, VITAS surrounded by his family. He was the widower of Janice (Munn) Massaker.

Mr. Massaker was born April 10, 1933 in Patterson, NJ a son to the late William H. and Evelyn (Gibbs) Massaker.

William was educated in the Patterson, NJ public school system. After completing his education he joined the United States Army where he served many years before receiving an honorable discharge. He worked for Pratt and Whitney as a machinist for over 30 years until his retirement in 1994. William was a long time member of St. Leo the Great Church of Waterbury. He was a member of the Dukes Social Club of Waterbury for many years. William was a man of few words that did not play. He meant what he said. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his only daughter; Deborah Massaker of Waterbury, grandson; Jasmire Smith of Waterbury, two sisters; Evelyn Mosley, Jenny Harkley both of NJ, three sisters in law; Mary (Carter) Munn, Rita (Arnold) Munn, both of Waterbury, Nancy (Clarence) Roberson of New Haven, one brother in law; Frank Munn of Waterbury, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was predeceased by one sister, Margaret McDaniel.
