William Earl Vines, 60, of Waterbury, formerly of Danbury passed away unexpectedly at home Monday, May 7, 2018. Born March 21, 1958 in Bethel, North Carolina, son to the late Jesse and Irene (Bullock) Vines.

William moved to Danbury in 1961 where he attended Danbury Public Schools, graduating from Danbury High School in 1976. "Wilie" served in the Army National Guard for four years. "Lamb" as he was known by all, was employed by Student Transportation of America as a school bus driver (#39) for several years in Danbury and also worked for Automated Waste Disposal until his illness forced him into retirement. "Willie" was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church in 2010. He was an avid basketball fan, who also enjoyed playing and coaching but most of all he was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family who are very close and his many friends.

He is survived by three sons, Tavone (Dajon) Williams, Maurice Rosado Sr. both of Danbury, Antwan Riley of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Tiela Taft of Waterbury, seven grandchildren, Maurice Jr., Deryck, Nakia, Nyana, Jalyn, J'Qwan, Nayelli; one great granddaughter, Arielle; two sisters, Ruth Cardwell of Seymour, Gloristine Perkins of Danbury; two brothers, Marshall Vines Sr. of Danbury and George Vines of MD, one aunt; Mary Lee Vines of Bethel, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Willie was predeceased by three brothers, Sears, Sylvester and Larry Vines and one sister, Jessie Smith.
