Mr. William A. Hunter, 58, of Laval Street, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday June 20, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Annie "Annette" (Clark) Hunter.

William was born February 2, 1960 in Waterbury, a son to the late Jeremiah and Stephanie (Wade) Hunter.

"Wegi" as he was known by all was educated in the Waterbury Public School System. After High School, William entered the US Army where he served as an Honorary Honor Guard for 6 years.

He was a loving husband and father; very giving, would help and do anything for anyone in need. He could never say NO. He loved family gatherings, family meant everything to him. William loved sports and loved watching sports with his only son Andre. He was an avid sports fan. His favorite basketball team was the Ladies UCONN Huskies, his favorite baseball team was the NY Yankees and his favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. He worked at Waterbury Company now known as OGS Technologies, for 36 years and was contemplating relocating to North Carolina with his wife after retirement. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his wife, Annie, he is survived by his only son, Andre Allen Hunter of Waterbury, two sisters; Deborah Hunter of Waterbury, Brenda (Bryan) Douglas of Ansonia, CT, six brothers; Jeremiah (Beverly) Hunter, Jeffrey (Debbie) Hunter, Keith Hunter and Robert Hunter all of Waterbury, Bruce (Linda) Hunter of New Britain, two aunts; Eunice Mitchell and Mardelle Ruffin both of Waterbury, brothers in law; Gerald Riddenhhour of Waterbury, James (Rebecca) Clark, Gerald Michael Clark all of NC, Andre Clark of AZ, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his sister Nickie Riddenhour.
