Life began for Tiffany on December 11, 1981 in Danbury, CT. She was the
daughter of Lucinda Harris-Shosan and the late Lloyd R. Smith.
As a child and young woman, Tiffany led a focused, purpose driven life enriched
through education, family, friends, and community. She attended Steelton High
School in Harrisburg, PA, graduating in 1999. Motivated to achieve, she
received her degree from Pittsburgh University in 2004 with a BA in Accounting
and Latin American Studies. Afterward, she attained her Certified Public
Accounting (CPA) license in 2014 and became fluent in two languages, Spanish
and Portuguese. Tiffany was truly a daredevil, her desire for success was
greater than her fear of failure, and she was determined to grab all that life had
to offer.
Tiffany was an avid traveler and explored the world. She traveled to Italy, Peru,
Brazil, Africa, Switzerland, Mexico, and France. Tiffany had a smile that could
change the world. Her smile shined bright for all to see, and this same light
made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. True to her giving and
kind-hearted nature, and her desire to make the world a better place, she
taught English in Brazil, and volunteered at hostels in Spain and Italy. She
attended the Alive Church NYC, New York City, when in the States. In 2012,
Tiffany surprised her mother with an all-inclusive trip to Spain and France, a
daughter's gratitude to her Mom. A loyal and loving daughter, Tiffany's favorite
moments were shopping for the latest fashion trends and those spent baking
cookies with Mom.
In 2015, while living in Brazil, Tiffany became ill and God saw fit to send her
home to Mom. She fought cancer as she lived life, with courage, strength, and
hope until she could no longer fight. Tiffany was called home and received her
angel's wings on November 2, 2016 at Danbury Hospital surrounded by family.
Tiffany leaves to celebrate her life and home going, her mother, Lucinda Harris-
Shosan; two sisters, Tonya Todd (Chris) of Waterbury, Tamiko Harris (Erich) of
Danbury; one brother, Ali Harris (Monica) also of Danbury, CT; four nephews,
Brian, John, Gavin and William; one niece, Sania; special friends, Yewande
Adeyemi, Joan Spencer, Robin Nunez, Mark Anthony King, Luciana Morais, a
second mom, Mabel Thomas; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and so many
other special friends.
