Mrs. Rosa Lee (Anderson) Cothrine, 85 of Eastern Ave, Waterbury, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Mr. Titus Cothrine.

She was born March 31, 1933 in Wilson, North Carolina the youngest of twelve children born to the late Jonah and Janie (Newsome) Anderson.

As a child she was educated in the NC school system before relocating to Waterbury where she resided until her passing. Rosa loved to cooked, she was known for her famous chopped BBQ. She loved family gatherings, kicking butt in playing spades, dancing and listening to music. Her favorite song was "Shame" by Evelyn Champagne-King. She was a member of Redeeming Love Tabernacle of Praise church for many years. Rosa's fiery personality and love for entertainment made her home one you couldn't help but flock to. Her doors were always open to so many of her relatives and friends alike. One of her biggest joys came from loving and spoiling her great grandchildren. Her loving and giving spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, seven children; Robert Anderson, Janice Anderson, Jacqueline Anderson, Shelia Anderson-Mitchell and husband (Rodney Mitchell), Billy Anderson Sr. and wife (Arlesia Anderson), Lavern Anderson-Hall and husband (Doug) and Terry Anderson, fifteen grand children, thirty six great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, Geraldine Snead whom she considered a sister, several nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and a host of friends. Rosa was predeceased by her eleven siblings, Hattie Mae (Anderson) Rush, Mattie Mae Wade, Lena Signal, Christine Simmons, Lucille, Eva Mae, James Arthur, Jimmy Lee, Jonah, Charlie and Johnny Lee Anderson.
