Nasha NuChang Hawk Sr., 36, was called home by our father God unexpectedly Saturday, November 18, 2017.

He was born September 1, 1981 in Waterbury, CT to Dwayne Avery and Shirley Hawk.

Most of his friends called him "Nas" but those that really knew him called him "Chang" his family nickname. He attended the Waterbury Public School system and during his high school years he played football for Crosby High School which his father encouraged him to do. He was a great father to his son, his pride and joy, the two of them were very close. They enjoyed playing video games together, all of the basketball and swimming games and shared so many laughs together. Nasha was a wonderful, loving and giving young man and he truly gave his all. He loved and lived his life to the fullest. He was known to say "Get the F*** outta here". He enjoyed traveling and he had seen most of the world. His two favorite places to go was Miami, FL "Turn Up" and Myrtle Beach, SC for "Bike Week". He had just planned his next vacation to Dubai, one of his dream places to visit. He also was a big sneaker collector. Chang had a very close relationship with his mom and would often say to her "Ma Dukes you know what it is".

Besides his parents Shirley Hawk and Dwayne Avery he leaves one son Nasha NuChang Hawk Jr. one brother Nathaniel Hawk, one nephew Tyjon Brown, his girlfriend of 17 years Jessica Diaz, his childhood good and best friend Matesha Davis a host of aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Chang will be remembered by his smile, laugh, his generous big heart and the love he had for his son, family and friends. Nasha you will truly be missed by all who knew you.
