Michele Denise Tyson was born on July 6, 1959 and she received her wings on September 27, 2018, after a long fight against Lupus. She was the daughter of Jacqueline Locklear Tyson of Waterbury and the late Robert Hickson and the late William A Tyson Sr.
Michele was the Shepherdess of Thy Kingdom Come Ministries; however, she actively participated in ministry at the Family Worship Center under the leadership of her cousin Apostle Royal Moore. She attended Wolcott High School but graduated from Kennedy High School. She received some credits from Post University. She worked in the Human Services field for all of her life working with disabled adults at Easter Seals, the Institute of Professional Practice, I.C.E.S, Advantage Career Training, and Oak Hill. Michele's love for God allowed her to touch lives of all the people she encountered.
Besides her mother, she leaves to carry her legacy her daughter, Tamisha P. Tyson of Waterbury, grandchild Elisha E. Tyson, of Waterbury, one sister; Felecia (Keith) Hickson-Canada of Bristol, CT, two brothers; William A. Tyson Jr. of Waterbury and Michael A. Tyson of Texas, god daughter; Jalissa Pendarvis of Waterbury, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth J. Tyson.
All are asked to wear something purple to the memorial in support of Lupus Awareness.
