Mrs. Melva McDaniel Corse, 74, of Waterbury agreed with her heavenly father and returned home to be with Him, Monday morning, October 2, 2017. She is now lavishing and basketing in the joy of the Lord----forever at rest.

Melva was born on March 21, 1943 in Waterbury, CT to the late James and Alice (Smalls) McDaniel.

Melva affectionately known to others as "Auntie Melva" attended schools in Waterbury graduating from Mattatuck Community College and Post University with a Bachelor's Degree of which she was very proud of accomplishing. Melva was employed for years at Uniroyal Inc. and the State of CT. She was a member of Richardson Memorial Church of God in Christ (Redeeming love Tabernacle of Praise church of God) most of her life where she received her Christian Foundation. Melva sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She was an avid student and cherisher of the Word of God. She was a woman of God and loved to praise the Lord. One of her favorite passages in the bible was Psalm 150 "Let everything that hath breath, Praise ye the Lord". She loved her family dearly. Melva loved to have a good time and always had a nickname for anyone she met. She would add "i.e.": or a "y" to the end of the person's name, repeating the person's name three times fast…. Giving the person an instant nickname.

To cherish her memories she leaves one son: Wayne McDaniel of Houston TX, one sister Mrs. Gwen (Edward) Canada of Waterbury, her grandchildren; Creasha McDaniel of West Haven, Tatiana Molina of Plantation, FL, Amber O'Neil and Mazanique McDaniel both of Houston, TX; eight great-grandchildren; several in –laws and a grand of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her hunsand Richard Corse, all seven of her brothers, three sisters: Charles (Carol) McDaniel,. Ann (Matthew) Williams, Rev. Louvernal (Pastor Patricia) McDaniel, Belton (Phyllis) McDaniel, Richard (Haysteen) James (Tina), Cornelius (Vanessa), Arthur (Gloria), Carolyn (Melvin) Jones, and Vivian McDaniel.

She will surely be missed, and Haven's tambourines will never be the same!
