Mr. Mark Anthony Askew 53, the husband of Charito (Lugo) Askew was called home to rest on February 28, 2017 following a brief illness at St. Mary's Hospital.
Mark was born September 1, 1963 at Waterbury Hospital to Carol (Savage) Williams and the late Edward Askew.

Mark received his education through the Waterbury School System and graduated from Wilby High School. Mark worked at Belt Warehouse for many years prior to kidney failure and needing to be placed on dialysis. Even a regimen of dialysis 3 times a week could not stop Mark from doing the things he truly enjoyed. Mark enjoyed reading, going fishing with his grandfather as a child, as well as with his friends as an adult. He also enjoyed taking walks on the beach at Savin Rock in West Haven, CT, and working on cars. Mark mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, friends, and his dogs Marco and Isis. A generous and kind person, Mark would do anything within his power for his friends and family.

Mark leaves to cherish his memory his wife Charito Lugo Askew; his mother Carol Williams; three daughters Ebinie (Justin) Nordby, Markia Askew, Jackie Lugo; one son Angel Lugo; one brother Raymond Askew of New Haven, CT; Godmother Cheryl Babbit; three grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and friends. Mark was predeceased by his brother Clarence "Junie" Williams; maternal grandparents Dawson and Erma Kerr and his paternal grandparents Wesley and Francina Askew.
