Miss. Marion P. Goodman, 60, of East Main Street, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016, at Waterbury Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation, after a long illness.
She was born May 25, 1956 in Sunbury, NC to Helen "Odessa" (Jordan) (Goodman) Culbreth of Waterbury and the late Solomon William Goodman Sr.

As a youngster, Marion and her family relocated to Waterbury in 1963. She attended and graduated from the Waterbury Public Schools. She previously held jobs caring for the elderly. "Chick" as she was affectionately called was a simple woman with a huge heart. She was a good listener and a good friend who would lend a listening ear to anyone in need. Marion was a long time member of Zion Baptist Church for many years where she served on the Usher Board and was a member of the tribe of Naphtali. Marion enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, taking trips to the casino and playing cards. She had a passion for listening to "Ole Skool" music which she did often. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She will be fondly missed by her daughters, Sakya Gaston, Dominique Goodman, Tiffany and Jasmine Horner all of Waterbury; sisters Linda Goodman of Philadelphia, PA, Sharon Hayer of Corapeake, NC. Sandra and Sheila Goodman, Ruth Michelle Fulton and Paulette (Goodman) Philson, all of Waterbury; brothers Andrew Norfleet of Portsmouth, VA, Alain and Jeffrey Hayer both of Corapeake, NC, Lee and Solomon Goodman both of New Haven, CT; grandchildren Gavyn Samedi, Iymani Montero, Jahvis Smallwood, Dalilah Munoz, Caleb Johnson and Adyson Canady all of Waterbury.
