Levar Maurice Banks, 39, of Danbury, entered into eternal life unexpectedly Saturday October 8, 2016 at Danbury Hospital.

Mr. Banks was born August 27, 1977 in Danbury a son to Patsy A. Banks of Danbury and Willie George Ryan of Washington State.

Levar was educated in the Danbury public school system. As a young man, Levar was raised in New Bethel Church of God in Christ. All over Danbury, Levar was known to all as the "Grill Master". He along with his cooking partners would cook for local events and family cookouts throughout Danbury and surrounding areas. Levar also worked as a landscaper with various local landscaping companies until his illness prevented him from doing so. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He also was an avid basketball and football fan. On any given Sunday, you could find him and his buddies watching sports at Pippas. Levar was a friend in deed. He would do anything that was asked of him without hesitation. Besides cooking which he loved, he also enjoyed spending time with his friends, family and enjoying life. He will be missed by all who had the joy of knowing and loving him.

Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers George Ryan, Gregory Ryan, Garmar Ryan and Cameron Ryan, two sisters: Pamela (Banks) Torres and Ashley Banks both of Danbury, one niece; Jay'Yona Torres, two nephews; Jeffrey Torres and Samir Ryan, several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
