Mr. Larry James Chapman, 65, of 70 Lakewood Road Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly,
Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Chapman was born on May 5, 1953, in Society Hill, South Carolina; son to Ethel Bunch Chapman of Waterbury and the late Wallace Jay Chapman.

Larry was educated in the Waterbury public school system where he attended Wilby high school where he was an all-star basketball player. . He entered the United States where he received an honorable discharge and various medals for his sharp shooting ability. After leaving the military, Larry was employed by Sammons Cable Company of Waterbury for five years, and Loomis Armored Car of Bridgeport, for three years. He grew up attending church at Richardson Memorial Church COGIC where he was a long time member. Larry loved to fish and hunt in his spare time. He also enjoyed entertaining his family and friends. Larry had a heart for his German Shepard dogs, tropical fish and books. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, Ethel, he leaves to mourn his passing, one son; Shawn Stanley, three daughters; Syetta Chapman of Charlotte, N.C., Myesha Frank and Keturah Walton both of Waterbury, two sisters; Delores Lanier of Waterbury and Corinthea (Astor) Chapman Bachelor of W. Hartford, CT., six grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was predeceased by brother Wallace Chapman Jr., and sister Alyce Chapman and granddaughter Anatolia Trent.
