Mr. Jesse Lawrence Griffin, 66 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 24, 2020. He was the husband of Patricia (Rucker) Griffin of Bridgeport.

Mr. Griffin was born January 10, 1954 in East Tallassee, AL, a son to the late Jesse Griffin and Fannie Kate (Crawford) (Griffin) Morgan.

Jesse was educated in the Tallapoosa County School System. He discontinued his education at an early age to seek employment and help support his family. Throughout his life he continued to work hard. Jesse was employed with Harvey Hubbell, Wade's Dairy and Pace Motor Lines where he was a tractor trailer driver. He loved driving and did so for many years until health issues prevented him from doing so. He was a simple man who loved his family. Spending time with his daughters brought him so much joy. In his free time, he enjoyed singing, karate, in which he was a 5th degree Black Belt, cars, comics, history and basketball. Most of all, he loved his family. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Besides his wife, he leaves to cherish his memories four daughters; Tanisa "Nee-Nee" Rucker, Rashida "Crunch" Griffin, Shonika "Waun" Griffin, and Jessica "Babygirl" Griffin, three grandsons who he affectionately referred to as his "grandmen" Shannon "Man" Griffin, Shelden "Man Man" Griffin, and Shanden "Dallas" or "Man Man Man" Griffin, three sisters; Gina Griffin, Valarie Griffin, and Lisa Morgan, one brother; Reginald "Reggie" Griffin, three nephews; Wayne "Brice Edward" Griffin, Jachin Paul Rogers, and Joshua Rogers, and a host of relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister Florence "Nette" Griffin.
