Mr. Jason Javon Arnold, 32, passed away unexpectedly at his home Monday, September 10, 2018.

Jason was born December 2, 1985 in Waterbury a son of Ontario "Terry" Gainey and Veronica Arnold both of Jacksonville, NC.

Jason attended Kennedy High School and was a graduate of Job Corp. For those of you who were close to Jason, you knew that he had a big heart. Jason was a compassionate person who cared about his loved ones. You could think of him as a gentle giant. Jason did not care about the type of person anyone was, if he loved you he loved you, good, bad, or indifferent. He went out of his way to make people happy even if he wasn't happy. Growing up with Jason was an experience I will always cherish because he was my partner in crime even though I blamed him for everything but, also the big brother that protected his little sister from any hurt. I'd remember the times when I'd be upset or sad about whatever at the time and he's always come around to make me laugh by tickling me or by doing Daffy Duck impressions. He did whatever to make sure I was happy again. I'm sure that there are many memories that we all have of Jason, whether they may be good or bad I want everyone to remember my brother in the light of, yes he may have struggled with the many troubles of life but he never struggled when it came to how to love and protect those around him. People on the outside saw Jason with this strong exterior but, to his family and those closest to him he was silly, he was funny, he was a goofball, and most of all he was a protector. Some of you may have experienced love from him, some of you may have experienced the protector in him, and then there's the group of loved ones that were lucky enough to experience both. However you remember Jason please remember that he meant well by those he cared for and if at any time his memory becomes a blur to some of you just look at the beautiful gift he left behind for us, his daughter Kha'mara she will always be positive reflection of Jason and I can only hope that we all help keep his memory alive for her so she'll never have to question who her father was.

In addition to his daughter Kha'mara Arnold of Waterbury, he leaves sisters; Najae' Taylor of Washington State, Bianca Gainey of Waterbury and a number of other siblings, stepfather Omar James Sr., aunts Rosalyn Arnold, Marie Pickett both of Jacksonville, NC, several cousins including special cousins; Victor Thomas Jr. of New Haven, CT and Maia Arnold of Waterbury along with a host of extended family and friends including special partner Natisha Jones of Waterbury. Jason was predeceased by his brother Omar James Jr.
