Mr. James Edward Spruill, 86, of Williams Street Danbury, passed away, Thursday, April 9, 2019 at Danbury, Hospital. He was the widower of May (Ladson) Spruill.

Mr. Spruill was born, May 19, 1933 in Oak City, NC, a son to the late Willis and Mahaly (Davis) Spruill.

"Eddie" as he was known, was educated in the North Carolina school system before coming to Danbury in 1950 where he resided until his passing. It is also where he met the love of his life, Mary Denease Ladson. They were married February 8, 1957 and spent their life together until her passing. Out of this union, they had one daughter, Loretta Laverne Spruill. She was the joy of their life. She took care of her father until her passing. In his younger years, Mr. Spruill worked at Shepherds Warehouse in Bethel CT for many years. Eddie was a quiet and humble person who always had a smile on his face. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons; Anthony Green, Shawn Anderson, several grandchildren, great grand children, one brother; Columbus Spruill, two sisters; Eva Clemons and Dorothy Bellinger, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by brothers; Dan Spruill, Herman Spruill, William Spruill, George Spruill and sister; Addie Taylor Clemons.
