Mr. James E. Jones Jr., 73 of Grove Street, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Waterbury Hospital after battling a long illness.

Mr. Jones was born August 22, 1943 in Waterbury a son of the late James E. "Buddy" and Audrey (Ryder) Jones Sr.

Jimmy was educated in the Waterbury public school system where he graduated from Webster Grammar School and attended Crosby High School. He entered into the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam Era. He was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland where he was a member of the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard. Upon receiving an honorable discharge Jimmy relocated to Tennessee where he lived with his brother Reginald for many years.
