Mr. James William Brown, 85, of Naugatuck, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the widower of Mrs. Carrie Brown.

Mr. Brown was born January 13, 1935, in Suffolk, VA, a son to the late Marcellus and Mary (Morris) Brown.

"JB", as he was also known as, was educated in the Virginia Public School System. He became a self- employed mechanic. "JB" enjoyed working on cars, listening to gospel quartet music, cracking jokes, and making people laugh. He was a kind and caring person. Everyone that knew him, loved him. He will be missed.

He leaves to mourn his loss 7 children; Mary Harrell of North Carolina, Formeka Riddick, Latrese Riddick, Michael Smith, Boyce Antonio Williams Sr., James Jr., and Christopher Brown all of Virginia, two sisters in-law; Elizabeth Brown of Waterbury, CT., and Shirley Lewis of Franklinton, NC, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides his wife Carrie, he was predeceased by three sisters; Lucy Artis, Ethel Brown, and Bertha Gibson, and three brothers; Agustus, Vernon Sr, and Linton Brown.
