Ms. Haydee Cruz, 68, of Bristol, passed away, Friday, March 30, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 27, 1949 in Mayaguez, PR a daughter to the late Rafael Villarini Cruz and Francisca Acevedo Nolasco.

She was educated in the Public school system in PR before relocating to NY at the age of 15.
She began her employment and continued her education by obtaining her GED and attending Lehman College in NY. She married and became the mother of four children and working for various companies while in NY before relocating to CT in 1988. She was employed by the Siemon Company in Watertown for many years. Being the caring person she was she obtained temporary custody of her two nieces that she cared for and loved as her own. She was a longtime member of New Life Christian Church in Waterbury. She continued her employment as a Home Health Care Worker for Quality Home Care until she retired in 2015. After retirement she relocated to Florida for three years before returning to CT where she resided until her passing. Haydee was caring, loving and always finding the good in people. She was very welcoming to everyone always with a smile. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, planting flowers, playing Parcheesi, playing Dominoes, watching her favorite soap operas, listening and dancing to Salsa music, cooking and eating. Her caring and special soul will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Haydee leaves to cherish her memory, three sons; Louis D. Perez, Luis O. Perez and Alexis M. Perez all of Waterbury, one daughter; Blanca Roman of Bristol whom she resided with, twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two brothers; Robert Cruz of FL, Edwin Nolasco of NY, four sisters; Nereida Cruz of PR, Isabel Cole, Migdalia Soto both of Waterbury, Maribell Sarvis of FL, three aunts; Ramona Rosario, Fannie Acevedo both of FL, Lucy Acevedo of PR and, several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends and a very special godson; Rafael Cruz of VA.
