Evangelist Gracinda Rondell (Kelley) Rascoe, 74, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 7, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. Gracinda was born on October 11, 1943 to Oscar and Gladys (Trueheart) Kelley.

She was the fifth child of eleven children (5 girls and 6 boys). Gracinda attended Waterbury Public Schools. She worked for General Motors Corporation for many before deciding to dedicate her time and her home to becoming a foster parent for the Department of Children and Families. Gracinda was a licensed foster parent for over 30 years caring to more than 160 foster children. Gracinda was known throughout the Department of Children Families and to the children she cared for as MaMa G. In addition to her "life ministry" which she often referred to as her work as a foster parent, she was a dedicated and longtime member of Pentecostal Assembly Church which is affiliated with Pentecostal Assembly of the World (PAW), Inc. She was a licensed Evangelist who loved her church family and her Pastor, Suffragan Bishop, Daisy Zimmerman. Evangelist Rascoe was First Vice-President of the Missionary Department. She served her church on various committees including choir, kitchen, and Pastors Aide to name a few. She was a God fearing woman who truly loved the Lord!

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years Thomas Rascoe and their six children; Thomas (Shena) Rascoe of Debary, FL, Gladys Rascoe of Wolcott, CT, Dudley (Lillian) Rascoe of Deland, FL, Shelby Rascoe of New Haven, CT, Emerald Rascoe of Denver, CO and Tyler Rascoe of Bristol, CT. Her 7 grandchildren; DeVante', Isaiah, Malia, Katana, Shelbi, Ezra, Bath-Sheba, Angel, and Jaysra will also miss her tremendously. In addition to her children and grandchild, Gracinda had six Godchildren she cherished dearly Joshua Kirven, Chanta Morrison, Jason Jordan, Deaisha Kelley, Artasia Bradshaw, Walter Kelley Jr., and Aubrey Bradshaw. Her siblings are Marion Kelley of Chesapeake, VA, Jessie Carter of Waterbury, CT, Walter (Darlene) Kelley of Sunbury, NC, Oscar (Florence) Kelley of Waterbury, CT, Delton Kelley of Waterbury, CT, Gretchen Simpson of Casselberry, FL, Therman (Lisa) Kelley of Newport New, VA, Allieree (Thomas) Kirven of Fairfax, VA and Debra (Larry) Guilford of Cleveland Heights, OH. She is predeceased by her parents Oscar and Gladys Kelley and brother Ercel Kelley. In addition, Gracinda will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
