Mr. Gary Dwight "Duke" Foster Jr., 26, of Congress Avenue formerly of Stamford, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family.

Mr. Foster was born December 29, 1990 in Stamford CT, a son to parents Bernadette Teele of Stamford and the late Gary D. Foster Sr.

Gary was educated in the Waterbury public school system graduating from Wilby High School. As a kid he delivered papers and was a bagger at C Town at the age twelve. Gary went off to Job Corp where he became licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. He continued his education at Springfield University where he was a member of the basketball team. Gary became a job coach and worked with people with disability developments and was a basketball coach for the youth. Gary loved basketball, music, dancing, food, family, friends, fashion, helping people, and making people happy. He was about progress; and was determined to reach his dreams. He would help anyone that needed help with pursuing theirs. Gary had a heart of Gold. He received his security guard certification recently and was going to be attending Lincoln Tech in the fall semester to become an Electrician. Gary was an amazing son, remarkable uncle, the best brother and a loving friend.

Besides his mother Bernadette, Gary leaves to cherish his memory, five sisters; La'Dira, Rosheka, Teshiema, Ednesha, and Tim'Mya, five nieces; O'ssaney, Silanté, Anii, Nevaeh, and Rye'Lea, his best friends; Damian Saunders and Jaleesa Roy and let's not forget the "Goonies". He also leaves his special friend Ashley S. Gary was truly loved by family and friends and will be missed by all. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Linda S. Davis to her Gary was "The King".
