Mrs. Florence Gayle Woodruff, 60, of Birch St, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. She was the wife of Lester O'Neil Woodruff of Altavista, VA.

Florence was born February 15, 1959, in Halifax, VA to the late William and Maxine (Morgan) Stovall.

Mrs. Woodruff was educated in the Altavista School System was a student Altavista High School before going to Job Corp in Marion, VA. She was a very happy, fun, and loving woman with a lot of personality. She knew everyone and always had a smile on her face, and got along with everyone. She loved her family tremendously, and would gather the little children together and take them on adventures. She was the life of the party, loved to dance and always had a good time wherever she went. Although she was "spoiled", she was very down to earth, cool, and classy. She will be missed by all that loved and knew her.

Besides her husband Lester, she also leaves to cherish her memories two sons; James Thomas of Waterbury, CT and Timothy Williams of Altavista, VA, three grandchildren Desiree, Brianna, and James Jr., ; two great grandchildren; Isabella and Jakob, four sisters; Diane Gilbert and Irene Stovall both of Altavista, VA, Hazel Hawley of Waterbury, CT, and Mary Wanda of Lynchburg, VA; two brothers; Benjamin Stovall of Waterbury, CT, and William Stovall of Altavista, VA,

She was preceded by one grandchild, Makayla.

Dear lord, as I read your book, help me to understand what you want to show me today. May your words inspire me to live the way you teach and to put you first and others before myself. Amen
