Mrs. Erma Dennis, 85, loving mother and grandmother of 103 Cherry Street, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of Mr. Ronald Dennis.

Mrs. Dennis was born July 12, 1931 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, daughter of the late Author Solomon and Nellie Jones.

Mrs. Dennis was a resident of Waterbury since 1981. She retired from White Wood Rehabilitation Center after many years of service in 1996. After retirement she relocated to Miami FL where she worked as a live in Nanny for TJ and Madison Ford. After many years of service, she returned to Waterbury in 2005 where she resided until her passing. Erma had a passion for cooking and baking. She enjoyed watching her soap operas. Her favorites were One Life to Live and General Hospital. She was a quiet woman who loved the simple things in life and adored her family all of whom will miss her dearly.

Besides her husband, she leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters; Audrey Ellis of Brooklyn, NY and Doret Lindo of Waterbury, two sons; Enus Plumer of Jamaica and Baltimore Dennis of Waterbury, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
