Mr. Eric Gaston, 68, of Garden Circle, Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Sharon (Mack) Gaston.

Eric was born August 28, 1950, in New Haven Connecticut, to the late Noble Gaston and Martha (Crosley) Gaston.

He was educated in the Waterbury public school system where he attended Driggs Elementary and Wilby High School. Eric worked at Pratt and Whitney for many years and most recently, Almost Family, and The Village. Eric was a family man who enjoyed cookouts and family gatherings. He was a very kind, friendly, and outgoing person. He would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. With his infectious smile and endless jokes, he could keep the laughter going on forever. He loved spending time with family, friends, and especially his children and grandchildren and playing his favorite hobby "Chess".

In addition to his wife, Sharon, he is survived by his children Lance "Erickson" Gaston, Shawn Gaston, Dawn Gaston, Erica Gaston, Deidre Mack and Eric Mack, sisters Betty (Joe) Hall, Dorothy Trent, Hillary (Aaron Jr.) Marshall, Dorinda Crosley, Charles Crosley, Charlotte Crosley, Kenny Gaston, several nieces, nephews, a host of friends, including best friend and brother in law Ariel Pagan and Chess partner Jose. Eric was predeceased by son Corey Hall, sister Rebecca Gaston, brothers George Gaston, Tommy Gaston, and James Gaston.
