Mr. Emanuel "Iggy" W. Jones Jr., 69, of Mortimer Street, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Jones was born August 7, 1949 in Gatesville, NC a son to the late Emanuel W. and Mamie (Rascoe) Jones Sr.

He was educated in the NC public school system graduating from Central High School in Gatesville, NC.
Emanuel relocated to Waterbury in the late 60's where he lived until his passing. He worked for SNET and Sprint as a Tele Communications Tech for many years until his retirement becoming a two time retiree. He was a member of "The Wrecking Crew" Social Club and was a supporter of many organizations throughout the Waterbury area. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and playing the saxophone for many local bands. He was a proud man who was family oriented with a commitment to respect love and self-development. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to mourn his passing, one daughter; India Jones of Meriden, CT, two sons; Travis Epps, Jade Jones both of Waterbury, four grandchildren, one sister; Louise Jones, several nieces, nephews cousins extended family including Alton and Linda Goodman, Jeffrey and Peggy Dupre' Richard Wallace and a host of friends. He was predeceased by one sister Carolyn Jones.
