Mr. Edward Nixon Jr., 85, of Crown Street, passed away on Sunday October 27, 2019, at home. He was the Widower of Hattie (Miller) Nixon.

Mr. Nixon was born in Elizabeth City, NC, on May 15, 1934, a son to the late Edward and Lina Bell (Williams) Nixon Sr.

Mr. Nixon was educated in the Elizabeth City Public School System. After School, he moved to Waterbury, CT and started working at Timex in Middlebury until his retirement. He was a family man and loved being around his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He became a father figure to everyone in the family and became the root to keep us all grounded. He leaves to cherish his memory seven children, Donell Nixon, Christine (Dixon) Nixon Hall, Alicia Nixon Watts all of Waterbury, CT, Nadine (Jeffery) Nixon Lusk and Eric Nixon both of Indiana, and Anthony (Karen) Nixon of NC., and David Nixon of Atlanta GA, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters Ella Gould of VA, and Elanor Hopkins of NC a niece Wanda Nixon Newby, a nephew Kerry Nixon, several cousins and friends.
