Mr. Clem Peterson Jr., 63, of 309 Lincoln Street Waterbury CT, entered into eternal rest Friday, August 4, 2017 at Waterbury Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Rosa (Phillips) Peterson.

Mr. Peterson was born February 12, 1954 in Tuskegee, AL to Flossie (Kenniebrew) Peterson of Tuskegee, AL and the late Clem Peterson Sr.

Clem was educated and graduated from the Alabama public school system. He relocated to Waterbury over 25 years ago where he resided until his passing. Clem was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board. Mr. Peterson was a 3rd degree Master Mason St. John 584 World Wide. In his earlier years he worked at Macon County Commissioner of Tuskegee, AL Smurf & Stone and Murphy Road Recycling and he also worked as a heavy machine operator for 45 years. Clem was a jack of all trades. There wasn't anything that he couldn't do. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, landscaping, cooking, mechanical work and carpentry. He was a wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather. His humble, outspoken and kindhearted spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

To mourn his passing, Clem leaves his loving wife of 25 years, Rosa (Phillips) Peterson, his mother Mrs. Flossie Peterson of Tuskegee, AL, two daughters; Angela Peterson and Tilisa Peterson both of Tuskegee, AL, five sisters; Sallie Johnson of NJ, Hazel Collins of NJ, Cherry Hall of Tuskegee, AL, Ella (Ulysses) Pride of Cincinnati, OH, Flossie D. Peterson of Tuskegee, AL, two sisters in-law; Dorothy Sinclair, Ida Sinclair of Waterbury, one brother in-law; Ossie Phillips of Waterbury, three step children; Tracy Etheredge, Rosa Williams, Dwana E. Yates all of Waterbury, seven grandchildren; Brittany Peterson, Lorenza Hall, Amanda Hall, Elissia Adam all of AL, Arreyion Yates, Jahkeem Mills and Malik Williams all of Waterbury, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
