Ashley M. Wood, 33 of Elizabeth Street, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday June 22, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Ashley was born January 3, 1983 the son of Ralph Andrews of Waterbury and the late Wanda M. Wood.

He was educated in the Waterbury public school system where he attended Wilby High School and later returned to Waterbury Adult Education to achieve his goal of obtaining his High School diploma. He enjoyed life and was a proud member of the LGBT community. Ashley had an awesome sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. In his spare time he loved to watch scary movies, play with his cats and eat his favorite dish, macaroni salad. When you were graced by Ashley's presence, you were immediately drawn to his eclectic and stunning sense of style. Fashion and makeup were his passion. In his photos you can't help but notice his amazing style and his amazing eyebrows. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his father and maternal grandmother Mable C. Wood, who raised him as her own, he leaves to cherish his memories, one brother; Kevin Gouche of Waterbury, two sisters; Tina Bullock of Boston MA., Shamara Moll of Wisconsin, ten aunts, four uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, including special cousin, Tiffani Wood who was raised as his sister, a host of extended family and friends.
