Ms. Arlean (Thomas) Fernandez, 68, of Waterbury, gained her wings, unexpectedly on Monday, August 19, 2019 at her home.

Ms. Fernandez was born March 9, 1951 in Tuskegee AL, a daughter to the late Robert and Rose Lee (Harvey) Thomas Sr.

Arlean was educated in the Waterbury Public School System after relocating to Waterbury where she resided until her passing. She was employed by Coyne Textile Services for many years prior to her retirement. Arlean was a happy person who was always making jokes. She was a family oriented person who enjoyed spending time with her family especially at family gatherings and cookouts. Her wind downtime was spent watching the news and keeping up with current events on television. Although she loved spending time with her family she really enjoyed the company of her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving daughter, Kimberly Parker, whom she cherished and loved, a nephew Shaun Thomas, whom she loved like a son, both of Waterbury, three sisters; Carrie Mercer, Loradene Allen, and Oletha Thomas, all of Waterbury, four brothers; Frederick Harvey Sr. of Portage, WI, Edward Thomas, Robert Thomas Harvey, and Norman Thomas, all of Waterbury, of Waterbury, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including very special friend, Beaddie Daniels. She was predeceased by two sisters; Marie "Pinky" Thomas and Lauren Thomas.
