Ms. Angeline (Abney) Sparks, 62 of Proctor Street, was called home and earned her wings on, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Angeline was born January 19, 1956 in Waterbury a daughter to the late Nathan Abney and Cora Shell.

Ms. Sparks was educated in the Waterbury public school system where she graduated from J.F. Kennedy High School and Naugatuck Valley Community College. She was employed by the Ciity of Waterbury as an Emergency Dispatcher at the Waterbury Police Department where she retired in 2013 after 27 years of service. Angeline was a very loving person with a great sense of humor and amazing spirit. She loved her family and was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her only daughter Whitney was her pride and joy. She will truly be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory her only daughter; Whitney Sade Abney of Waterbury, four brothers; Nathan Abney, Kenneth Abney, Dennis Wright and Rozel Abney, two sisters; Shahida Abney, Shavonne Givens, three aunts; Shirley Bennett, Ruth Tisdale, and Sallie Mathis, several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
