Mr. Alvin Sylvester Saunders, 53, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 18, 2019. He was the Fiancé of Priscilla Smith.

Mr. Saunders was born in Chowan, NC on September 14, 1966, a son to the late William Britt and the late Mildred (Saunders) Phiffer.

"Al Ninyo" as he was so lovingly called, was educated in the Public School System and graduated from Crosby High School. He was currently working at Line Manufacturing and loved his job. He was a member of the Elks. He loved watching sports (he loved watching Dwayne Wade), wrestling, crime shows and playing chess at the mall. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going on walks with his son. Alvin was a joker and always joked around with everyone. He always had people smiling and laughing. Alvin was loved and will be greatly missed by everyone that loved and knew him.

Besides his life-long friend and Fiancé Priscilla, he leaves to cherish his memories three sons; Marquise Kinnel, Tiffon Porter, and Dimonis Saunders, two step-children Destinee Martinez and Daevyon Moore, his grandchildren; Ty'Quise Kinnel, Unique Kinnel, Tylai Kinnel,, DeAmari Rolon, Daevyon Jr, Zanaia Dawkins, Darrell Jr., four siblings; Calvin Saunders, Emmanuel "Earl" Phiffer, Rosa Marie "Rere" Phiffer-Knight, and Caprice Saunders and a host of family and friends.
