Mr. Alfred L. Turner, Jr., 55, of Pine Street, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, July 20, 2020. He was the husband of Shelly (Gibbs) Turner.

Mr. Turner was born September 3, 1964, in Opelika, AL, a son to the late Alfred Turner Sr. and Jeanette (Dawson) Love.

Alfred was educated in Atlanta, GA., public school system and graduated from Skyline High School in ATL before relocating to Waterbury in 1992, where he resided until his passing. He was employed by the Morris Foundation and SCC Security until his passing. Security work was his love for many years. He attended Christ C.M.E. Church in Waterbury. He was a great cook and made the best fried chicken. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family and was the most caring person that would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved his children more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be missed.

Besides his wife Shelly, he is survived by four children; Alfred Paradise, Hakim Paradise, Ashanti Paradis and Javon Turner, two grandchildren, and one sister; Georgia Mae Love of Opelika, AL.

He was predeceased by Veronica Love of ATL.
