Alexander Foote, 85, formerly of 226 Walnut Street, Waterbury, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Saint Mary's Hospital. He was the widower of Essie M. Foote.

He was born November 29, 1932 in Tuskegee, Alabama, son of the late George and Hattie Jane (Phillips) Foote.

He attended Macom County Rural School. He worked at Alloy Foundries until his retirement. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church and in the Tribe of Joseph. He enjoyed watching WWE and Smack down Wrestling with his friends and fishing with his grandchildren. He was a very loving and caring person who loved to be with his family at monthly dinners.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, James (Claudia) and Humes Perry of Waterbury, CT; Six sisters, Lou Bertha Key of Waterbury; Sallye Wesley, Hattie Madue, Mary Seal Foote, Delores Piner and Elizabeth Foote of Alabama, grandchildren, Belinda (John) Weaver, Cassandra (Oscar) Fann-Pierce, April Fann, Sherry Fann, Karen (Willie) Perry-Jones, Anthony Perry, Sr. Kevin Perry, Richard Greene of Waterbury, Walter Fann and Cornell Perry of Atlanta, Marion Solomon of Maryland, Cheryl Perry of Ohio, Faye Perry of North Carolina and Gary Amos of Texas, 25 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren, 5 great-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves two sisters-in-law, Naomi Foote and Mary Helen Foote-Norflet. He was predeceased by son, Eddie Perry. daughter, Myrtle Greene-Amos, five brothers George, Willie, Howard Sylvester, Roy Foote; three grandchildren, Reginald Perry, Edward Scott Perry and Michele Greene.
