Obituary

Ms. Martha Love, 68, of Waterbury, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Waterbury Gardens Nursing Home, in Waterbury, CT. She was the widow of William Love.

Ms. Love was born September 17, 1951, in Tuskegee, AL, daughter to the late Ocie and Rebecca (Harris) Levett.

Martha was educated in the Macon County School System. She had humble beginnings growing up in Macon County, Alabama. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Martha was employed with the Macon County School System at Chisholm Elementary for many years, where she was a devoted employee. She loved to go fishing and loved baking cakes, candy and other deserts. She later retired and moved to Waterbury, CT. She united in fellowship with Rev. Kristopher Reese and Grace Baptist Church and served faithfully until her health failed and she had to go into nursing home.

Martha leaves to cherish her memories her daughters; Roberta Love (Jimmy Young) and Stacy (Jerry) Radford, both of Wetumpka, AL, Sons; William (Mae Jessie) Love Jr., of Tuskegee, AL, and
Jamie Love of Newtown, CT., devoted caregivers; granddaughter, Alisha Love and great granddaughters; Nkeljha, Yasmine, Alyssa, and Kydreuna Love, all of Waterbury, CT., sister; Annie Pearl Levett, of Tuskegee, AL, brothers; David Levett, Willie (Mary) Levett and Eddie Williams, all of Tuskegee, AL; Aunt; Beatrice Kennebrew, of Bridgeport, CT, uncle; Eddie Harris, of Tuskegee, AL, grandchildren; Derrick Love, Frantina Love, Vanessa Love, Nazavious Love, Jessie Love, Kiana Love, Tajlia Love, Jaderria Bennett, Keira Sanford, and Ken Sanford, great grandchildren; Sakiya Hill, Robert Hartgrove Jr., Kedorian Love, Harmonii Love, Jhamari Carter, Zamauri Carter and TaMaure Bennett, Sister in-Law, Alberta Harrison, Tuskegee, AL; Brother in Law, Curtis Love, Waterbury, CT; a special friend, Ms. Laverne Jenkins, Waterbury, CT., nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of extended family & friends.

Besides her husband and parents, Martha was preceded by a daughter; Maquesha Love, great grandson; Keyvin Mallard, grandson; Rantavious Love, and siblings: Edward Levett, Susie Levett and Othera Levett.
