Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Rosa by adding your memories and photos.

Ms. Rosa Antoinette Blash, 31 of Gilbert Lane, Branford, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, July 5, 2020.

Ms. Blash was born September 11, 1988, in Waterbury, CT, a daughter to Winonna Blash of Waterbury, CT and Anthony Lawson of Atlanta, TX.

"Rosie", as she was known as, was educated in the Waterbury Public School System, graduating from Kennedy High School. After High School, she attended The College of New Rochelle in NY. Rosie was employed at Yale Animal Resources Center (YARC) in New Haven, where she worked as a Lab Technician. She was passionate about animals and enjoyed working and volunteering at Pet Stores and Animal Shelters. She had an undeniable passion for the arts and became Fire Performer and Acrylic Artist. Over the years, her performances and artistic creations were appreciated by many of her family and friends. Ultimately, Rosie will be remembered for her jubilant spirit, infectious smile, and amazing hugs.

Besides her parents, she leaves to cherish her memories, three siblings; Vernon (Jessica) Blash of Waterbury, Tawanna (Rodney) Thomas of Lansing, KS, and Kandice (Reginald) Alexander of Pottstown, PA, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, a very close friend; Jesse Lopez, and a host of friends.
She is predeceased by maternal grandparents; Jimmie Lee and Winifred (Gatling) Blash Sr., and Paternal Grandparents; Otis and Rose (Henry) Lawson.

In keeping with Rosa's Pagan faith, we close with the following:

"I release myself from those who have left this plane and let them walk the blessed gardens of Summerland."

I've loved Rosa like she was one of my own. Brianna and Rosa were as sisters. Ever since elementary school, they complimented each other. They were unique, and were girls to shine. And Rosa sure did shine in the best way. I am surely grieving as if she was one of my own.
Respecting her pagan religion 'Every time I feel a breeze, I know it's her whispers. Every dance of a flame from a candle, I know it's her saying I'm ok, and I love you." She was the most beautiful soul, and I'll always miss her.

I will always remember the very first time Jesse brought you to my family and I met you. I thought you were so beautiful. I met you when I was a little girl and years later as I grew up you still came around from time to time. I can truly say Rosa that you were really such a beautiful kind soul. Something about you was always different. You were so caring about others, so sweet. I still can't believe you're gone....I wish it wasn't true. I'll always remember you and our interesting conversations. Paint the skies my dear one. Rest peacefully.
