Ms. Marion J. Carroway, 67, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday May 14, 2020.

Ms. Carroway was born September 20, 1952, in Cheraw, SC, a daughter to the late Lloyd Scott and Naomi (Chapman) Carroway.

"Jean", as she was also known as, was educated in the Waterbury Public School System. She was employed at Chemick Factory in 2001, Uniroyal, and more recently at Shoprite, as a Service Clerk. "Jean" was a hardworking and loving woman. She enjoyed life and the people who were near and dear to her. She was a flagger in the famous Berkeley Knights Drill Team and Drum Corp. She was a member of Refuge Church of Christ and she enjoyed going to gospel programs. She enjoyed making jewelry, doing arts and crafts, making jewelry, crossword puzzles, dancing, and eating. "Jean" was a helper and helped everyone. She loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren and would do anything for any of them. She will be missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories, eight children; Lisa Caraway, Shanay Carraway, Kiwana Carraway, Damien Carraway, Jamaal Carraway, Rasheen Carraway, Cheyeanna Carraway, siblings; Emma V. Ford, Lloyd Caraway, Patrica Caraway, Marybell Caraway, Vernon Caraway, and Julia Caraway, ten grandchildren one great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her son; Lloyd S. Carraway, brothers; Ozzie Caraway and Donnie Caraway, and two aunts; Rosa Mae Waddell, Geneva Baskins, and one uncle; Leroy Chapman.
