Mr. Nathaniel "Skipper" Lewis-Byrd, 66, of Waterbury, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020, at home.

Mr. Lewis-Byrd was born in Waterbury, CT, June 11, 1953, a son to the late Jannette Lewis-Byrd and the late Calvin Byrd.

"Skipper" as he was also known as, was educated in the Waterbury Public School System and served, in the U.S. Marine Corps, during the Viet Nam war. He loved music, riding his bike, reading and cooking but was a very private person. He took great care of his family and whenever they needed him, he was there. He will be missed by all that loved and knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memories six siblings; Calvin, Darrell, Cindy, Pam, Devon, and Derek Byrd, three aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his siblings Jonathan, Garnell, Chuckie, Bobby, Talford, and Tricia Byrd.

A memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
